Kennedy Space Center Camp

The Kennedy Space Center Camp offers various activities including hands-on STEM challenges, labs, and astronaut-training simulations. These are customized for different age groups and include team-building, communication, and collaboration exercises. Campers are trained in three areas, namely Launch Operations, Mars Operations, and Microgravity Operations, where they learn to cooperate with each other in docking their spacecraft and handling emergencies.

At the Kennedy Space Center Camp, students can participate in an array of exciting missions. These include engaging in engineering builds, virtual reality experiences to explore the surface of Mars, a simulated spacewalk in a frictionless environment, and taking part in the Botany Lab where they send data to real NASA scientists on vegetable growth and harvest. Additionally, they can take a simulated space flight from the space center to Mars and optimize power for the Base using Mars rover robotics.

Campers attending the Kennedy Space Center Camp are placed in teams based on their birth date to encourage teamwork and collaboration. The five teams available are named after NASA's Mars rovers - Pathfinder, Spirit, Opportunity, Curiosity, and InSight. During the reservation process, campers must select their birth date range to be placed in the appropriate team. This division helps to facilitate activities and challenges that are tailored to their age group and provides an opportunity for campers to make new friends while learning about space exploration.

The Kennedy Space Center Camp provides international students with a remarkable 3 or 5-day program that concentrates on STEM challenges using NASA science. The program is intended to provide them with an understanding of NASA's objective to research and comprehend Mars to achieve the goal of landing humans on its surface in the future. Students participate in two programs - Astronaut Training Experience and Mars Base 1 - where they get the chance to visit the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and the Apollo/Saturn V Center on guided tours and interact privately with a real NASA astronaut.

This program is designed for children ages 5-12 and offers a range of activities that focus on STEM education. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, and other activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

This program is a simulation of what it's like to be an astronaut. Participants will go through a series of training activities that include microgravity simulation, multi-axis trainer, and landing simulations. This program is designed for children ages 10 and up.

 This program is a simulated mission to Mars. Participants will work together in teams to complete tasks and challenges, all while experiencing what it's like to live and work on Mars. This program is designed for children ages 10 and up.

The Kennedy Space Center Camp offers overnight adventures for children ages 8-14. Participants will spend the night at the camp and engage in a range of activities that include stargazing, rocket launches, and simulated space missions.
